2021 Great MI Read Event: In Conversation w/Great MI Read Author Mary Doria Russell

 This year's Great Michigan Read Event book choice is 'The Women of Copper Country' by Mary Doria Russell. It is about the 1913 strike of the copper workers in Calumet, Michigan and the women who were behind it. Join us for some other programming on the theme of union strikes in Michigan and also about mining in Michigan. Our programming will culminate with an event with the author Mary Doria Russell.

Join the Hamburg Twp Library and the Pinckney Community Library in a joint program, 'In Conversation with Mary Doria Russell, the 2021 Great Michigan Read author for her novel, 'The Women of Copper Country' hosted by Michelle Tuplin, author and bookstore owner.

Mary Doria Russell has been called one of the most versatile writers in American literature and one of our greatest contemporary storytellers.
