Friends of the Library 2nd Annual Stay At Home & Read Fundraiser - In Conversation w/Cozy Mystery Au

Thursday, February 246:30—7:30 PMVirtual

Join local cozy mystery author Darci Hannah as she talks with fellow cozy mystery author Tracy Gardner about writing, what makes a cozy mystery and other fun stuff!

Author Tracy Gardner is the creator of the Shepherd Sisters Mystery series. This cozy mystery series takes place in a small Lake Michigan town, where Savanna Shepherd and her sisters solve mysteries. Her new series is the Avery Ayers Mystery. If you like authors like Joanne Fluke, Ellery Adams and Krista Davis, you will enjoy Gardner’s mysteries.

Tracy's mystery romance series with Crooked Lane Books begins with RUBY RED HERRING, named a Best of 2021 New York Public Library top 100 fiction book. RUBY RED HERRING finds Gemologist and Antiquities expert Avery Ayers unraveling the mystery of how a priceless ruby is connected to the tragic car crash that killed her parents, and whether the strange messages she’s receiving could mean her father’s actually alive. The second book in this series, PERIL AT PENNINGTON MANOR, publishes in 2022.

Tracy is also the author of Hallmark Publishing's first ever cozy mystery series, the Shepherd Sisters Mysteries. OUT OF THE PICTURE is the first book in the now complete trilogy, intriguing, engaging stories about Art Authenticator turned elementary art teacher Savanna Shepherd and her sisters solving murder mysteries in a small Lake Michigan town.

A Detroit native, Tracy Gardner is a daughter of two teachers and she still works as a nurse when not writing. Tracy lives with her husband and best friend of thirty years and a menagerie of spoiled rescue dogs and cats, her front door constantly revolving with her three young adult children. She is a strong believer in the power of baked goods, live music, family and friends as staples to a happy life.

Cozy mystery author, Darci Hannah, is a native of the Midwest and currently lives in a small town in Michigan. Darci is a lifelong lover of the Great Lakes, a natural wonder that inspires many of her stories. When Darci isn't baking for family and friends, hiking with her furry pals, Ripley and Finn, or concocting her next cozy mystery, she can be found wandering around picturesque lakeside villages with her hubby, sampling baked goods, and breaking for coffee more often than she should.

In addition to cozy mysteries, Darci's other passion is writing historical fiction. She is the author of The Exile of Sara Stevenson (Ballantine Books, 2010, 2nd edition by Piffle & Bombast 2016) and The Angel of Blythe Hall (Ballantine Books, 2011).
