Friends of the Library 2nd Annual Stay At Home & Read Fundraiser - YA Author Frank Morelli

Saturday, February 261:00—2:00 PMVirtual

Frank Morelli is the author of the young adult novels ‘On the Way to Birdland’ (2021) and ‘No Sad Songs’ , a 2019 YALSA Quick Picks for Reluctant Readers nominee, a VOX top Hopepunk title, and winner of a 2019 American Fiction Award for best coming-of-age story. The first book in his debut middle grade series, ‘Please Return To: Norbert M. Finkelstein’, was released in September 2019 and was named a Book Excellence Award finalist. Morelli’s fiction and essays have also been featured in The Saturday Evening Post, Cobalt Review, Philadelphia Stories, and Highlights Magazine.

A Philadelphia native, Morelli’s life was transformed when he accepted a teaching fellowship in the NYC Public Schools and discovered that a lifetime spent eating cafeteria tater tots would be a small price to pay for a chance to shape the future. He continues to split time between the page and the classroom, and will forever be amazed by how each one enriches the other.

Morelli lives in High Point, NC with his best friend, their obnoxious alley cats, and two hundred pounds worth of dog.
