Her books include a history of the city's potato chip companies ( Better Made in Michigan ), an in-depth look at a 1931 murder mystery ( The Witch of Delray ) and a study of drive-in movie palaces ( The Ford-Wyoming Drive-In ). She also wrote a travel guide to the city called Strange Detroit .
