Virtual Night At The Antique Store: Four Mystery Authors Tell All

Thursday, January 196:30—7:30 PMVirtual

Love antiques and mysteries?  Then join us for a fun discussion about both with local author Tracy Gardner and authors Cordy Abbott, Connie Berry and Trish Esden.

About the Authors:

Cordy Abbott:

Proud baby boomer and dog mom, Cordy Abbott, aka Lane Stone, is the author of the Old Town Mystery series. She, her husband, and their Standard Schnauzer have lived in Alexandria, Virginia for over two decades. Because she enjoys everything about the city, she can’t wait to share it with readers, even a fictionalized version. When not writing she enjoys characteristic baby boomer pursuits: golf, traveling and volunteering for good causes, like American Association of University Women of Alexandria. She has a post-graduate certificate in Antiquities Theft and Art Crime. She can be found at www.CordyAbbott.com and @CordyAbbott.

Connie Berry:
Award-winning author Connie Berry's dream of becoming an archaeologist ended when she learned there was more to it than discovering the tombs of lost pharaohs. Deciding to write about history rather than make it, she created the Kate Hamilton Mystery series, set in the UK and featuring an American antiques dealer with a gift for solving crimes. Like her protagonist, Connie was raised by charmingly eccentric antiques collectors who opened a shop, not to sell antiques but to give them an excuse to keep buying them. Besides reading mysteries and writing them, Connie loves history, foreign travel, cute animals, and all things British. She lives in central Ohio with her husband and adorable dog, Millie. You can find her at www.connieberry.com.

Trish Esden:

Trish Esden loves museums, gardens, wilderness, dogs and birds, in various orders depending on the day. She lives in northern Vermont where she deals antiques with her husband, a profession she’s been involved with since her teens. Don’t ask what her favorite type of antique is. She loves hunting for old bottles and rusty barn junk as much as she enjoys fine art and furnishings. Trish is the author of the Scandal Mountain Antiques Mystery series which explores the secretive and adrenaline-charged underbelly of the antique and art world. You can find her at www.trishesden.com

Tracy Gardner: (local Livingston County Author)

Tracy Gardner is an Edgar Award nominated fiction author represented by Frances Black of Literary Counsel. Her latest novel, Peril at Pennington Manor, is the second in the series that began with Ruby Red Herring, a Mary Higgins Clark Edgar Award finalist and a New York Public Library Best 100 of 2021 book. Tracy also penned Hallmark Publishing's first cozy mystery series, the Shepherd Sisters Mysteries. A Detroit native and mother of three, Tracy is a daughter of two teachers who works as a nurse when not writing. She lives with her husband and best friend of thirty years and a menagerie of spoiled rescue dogs and cats. She is a strong believer in the power of baked goods, punk rock, and good friends as staples to a happy life.   www.tracygardnerbeno.com/
